Writing
When I think about how I would describe myself, I always return to the statement "I am a storyteller." At the heart of everything I do, whether it's writing, producing, and even my academic work, I am always searching for the stories that are being told. I am a champion and protector of stories, because stories are the root of humanity. More often than not, we are only given one version of the story and told that it's the truth; in all of my work, I want to challenge this paradigm and explore the untold truths of the world.
I often return to myth in my own work; it is the compass that guides my path as an artist. As a filmmaker, I've begun to coin my work as "Archetypal Filmmaking", which integrates my work as a Depth Psychologist and mythologist into my work as an artist. Since archetypes are the basis for all myths, these come through my work an an embodied experience for everyone involved, from actors to audiences. Archetypes speak to the soul, and I seek to infuse this into my work as a filmmaker and writer.
My series, The Lonely Wanderer, is for the dreamers, wanderers, hermits and lovers, The Lonely Wanderer is an invitation to see life through the eyes of a like minded adventurer - one step, one snapshot, and one poem at a time.
